Bell Creek

In 2009, Dumas commenced work on the Bell Creek Mine, located in Porcupine, Ontario. Owned and operated by Pan American Silver, the mine required significant development and construction work to support exploration and production goals.

Dumas mobilized to undertake mine development programs enabling Bell Creek to expand its operations. Construction activities included the installation of two Grizzlies and Rockbreaker stations on the 1020mL, as well as the chutes and conveyor facility on the 1040mL. Dumas also completed approximately 1,200 meters of 5.0m x 5.0m lateral development to the 610m exploration drift, including the installation of services such as vent ducting, blast lines, air lines, water lines, and drain lines.  Dumas has maintained a long-standing relationship with Bell Creek, with work ongoing from 2009–2010 and resuming in 2022 through the present.  Recent scope of works include mechanized raising, lateral development and embedded labour to support client critical path activities.
