Dumas completed the Pinos Altos Production Shaft Sinking Project. In addition to successfully completing the work, Dumas was responsible for procurement and engineering activities, including Galloway, Concrete Forms, Bucket & Crosshead, Collar & Sub-Collar Doors and various additional shaft sinking support components.
Dumas personnel were responsible for sinking a 4.9 metre diameter concrete lined shaft to a final depth of approximately 615 metres. Shaft steel and utilities were installed during sink. Additionally, during the shaft sink, Dumas crews also performed development of three shaft stations, including development of over 8,000m3 off-shaft development on two levels and two 7 metre diameter 35 metre long ore bins.
Following development of each shaft station, station steel and concrete floors were installed to specifications. In addition to the shaft station construction, Dumas excavated, installed, and dry-commissioned the complete 28L loading pocket and loading facilities.
