Dumas supports local communities by hiring locally, sponsoring events, and encouraging employee volunteering and donations. Below are some highlights of these efforts:
Since 2008, Dumas employees in Timmins and Kirkland Lake, Ontario, have partnered with NEOFACS to purchase Christmas gifts for children in need and sponsor local families. Thanks to the kindness and effort of employees, their families and friends, hundreds of gifts have been distributed to less fortunate children over the years.
Dumas employees won the $25,000 grand prize on Canada Sings with a performance celebrating “Lake Joe,” an accessible lakefront facility in Muskoka that offers recreation and vision rehabilitation. Impressed by the team’s enthusiasm, Dumas executives donated an additional $10,000, bringing total support for CNIB to $35,000.
Since 2012, Dumas and its employees have sponsored and supported the Timmins and District Hospital by participating in the Rotary Face Off for Funds 24-hour hockey fundraiser.
