In 2016, Dumas commenced work on mine development at El Limón, located in Guerrero, Mexico. Torex Gold Resources engaged Dumas to support one of the most logistically challenging mining projects in Southern Mexico.
Since mobilization, Dumas has delivered over 75,000 metres of CAPEX/OPEX development, advancing portal access, raises, and ore handling infrastructure. Peak development rates exceeded 1200 metres per month with three active fleets and approximately 125 personnel. The scope of services provided included excavation of 17 mechanized raises totalling over 1,500 metres, along with two 6.0-metre-diameter ore bins excavated using the pilot-and-slash methodology. Dumas also implemented the client-designed backfill program, providing sustained logistical and development support.
