Lalor Mine

In April 2011, Dumas commenced work at the Lalor Mine, located in Snow Lake, Manitoba. Owned and operated by Hudbay Minerals, the project initially involved shaft sinking and engineering deliverables before expanding into long-term development and construction support.

Dumas was awarded the contract to sink the production shaft, completing a 6.7 metre diameter concrete-lined shaft to a depth of 1,000 metres, with all shaft stations constructed during sinking. In 2016, Dumas returned to provide development mining services, initially contracted for 2,900 metres of development but extended due to productivity and performance. Current work includes manpower and equipment support for lateral development scopes of work, as well as major construction projects such as the 910L underground maintenance shop.
