Dumas’ Guatemalan subsidiary was engaged at Mina Escobal, located in the Santa Rosa Department, to execute a key raise development project for Tahoe Resources (later Pan American Silver).
The project involved excavating a 130-metre-deep, 6.1-metre-diameter mechanized raise with a 100 mm shotcrete lining. Despite difficult ground conditions, the raise was completed safely and efficiently, with no lost-time incidents recorded.
