In 2007, Dumas commenced shaft deepening at Géant Dormant, located near Amos, Quebec.
Dumas deepened a four-compartment timber shaft by 200 metres, bringing it to a total depth of 1,250 metres. Work included three shaft stations, four raises, and the construction of loading and spill pockets.
